Elias John painted portraits of Luther and Melanchthon (1592), also of Great Elector Christian I (1595) and a painting of the Saviour (1599) for the Council of Freiberg. Other works of his mentioned include a portrait of the Emperor Ferdinand II (1621) and a painting of the Fall of Man (1622), also for the Council of Freiberg.
