Einar Jonsson studied in Copenhagen and began to exhibit in Charlottenborg in 1901. His work The Outlaw brought him a travelling bursary which enabled him to go to Italy and Germany. From 1905 to 1907 he exhibited Antiquity, The Typhoon and Dawn, abstract works which brought him interest
