Painter. Portraits, genre scenes.

Adolphe Jourdan entered the École des Beaux-Arts on April 3 1844 and worked in the studio of Jalabert. He was awarded medals in 1864 and 1866 and displayed genre subjects and portraits at the Salon de Paris from 1855. He also exhibited in New York in 1876.
