Painter. Figures, nudes, portraits, interiors with figures, landscapes.

Ludvig Peter Karsten began painting in Munich. He then spent two years in Madrid, before studying in Paris with Eugène Carrière and Henri Matisse. Most importantly, he worked alongside Edvard Munch and became friendly with him.
