Clément Kieffer attended the École des Arts Décoratifs in Strasbourg in 1900 and the academy of Düsseldorf in 1904. He also mixed with Courbet's students and studied at the Académie Delécleuze in Paris from 1910. He remained in Paris until 1914 before returning to the Moselle region where he produced
