Born 15 February 1704, in Paris; died 24 May 1778, in Paris.

Sculptor. Busts, statues, monuments.

Trained by his father Jean-Louis Lemoyne and by Le Lorraine, Jean Baptiste Lemoyne exhibited at the Salon from 1737 to 1771. He won first prize for sculpture in 1725, was approved by the Académie on 29 May 1728, and become an academician on 26 July 1738.
