Born 1665, in Paris; died 5 May 1755, in Paris.

Sculptor.

Trained by Antoine Coysevox, Jean Louis Lemoyne won the Prix de Rome for sculpture in 1687 with a low relief of The Great Flood. In 1703 he was received as a member of the Académie Royale de Peinture et de Sculpture with his marble bust of Jules Hardouin Mansart
