Born 1728, in Paris; died 6 April 1807, in Paris.

Engraver (burin).

Trained by P. Aveline, Louis Lempereur was received as an academician in 1776. He engraved genre subjects after Van Loo, Watelet, Lagrenée, etc. He went to London, where he was very successful, but this did not stop him returning to Paris. He exhibited at the Salon from 1761 to 1789.
