Born 1489, in Mantua; died 1537, probably in Mantua.

Painter. History painting.

Lorenzo Leonbruno was a pupil of Lorenzo Costa around 1508, but he took his inspiration mainly from the works of Mantegna. There is mention of him in Rome in 1521. Tradition has it that he carried out extensive decorations in Mantua, but, whether they have disappeared or have been attributed
