The naturalist and artist John William Lewin settled in Paramatta (New South Wales, Australia), from where he published a number of collections of original coloured prints: Prodromus Entomology (18 plates), Birds of New Holland (22 plates) and Birds of New South Wales (26 plates). He was the son of William Lewin.
