Born 9 December 1816, in Bergisch-Gladbach; died 23 April 1896, in Düsseldorf.

Painter, draughtsman. Mountainscapes, landscapes.

Lindlar was a pupil of Schirmer and at the Kunstakademie in Düsseldorf. He was a member of the academy in Amsterdam, and received honourable mention in Paris.

He painted landscapes of the Tyrol, Italy and southern France.
