Filippino Lippi's life was as simple and hard-working as his father's, Filippo Lippi, was adventurous. When he died, Filippo Lippi recommended his son to his friend, the painter Fra Diamante to whom he had entrusted the finishing of the works in Spoleto Cathedral.
