Lorenzo Monaco was a monk in the Monasterio dei Angeli, Florence. He was famous at the beginning of the 15th century and illuminated a large number of choir books for the monastery. He also painted several pictures after Taddeo Gaddi and his school. Among the monastery choir books there is a Diurno Domenicale marked
