Born 1830, in Csetnek; died 1917, in Budapest.

Painter. History painting.

Madarasz studied at the École-des-Beaux-Arts in Paris and worked with Léon Cogniet. All his artistic training was in France, and he took inspiration from French art. He showed in the Salon de Paris from 1861, receiving a 3rd-class medal, and in 1869. The subjects of the pictures he exhibited
