Born 25 May 1874, in Prague; died 20 April 1937.

Sculptor.

Josef Maratka spent three years in Rodin's studio and collaborated with him on the Santos-Dumont Monument in Buenos Aires. He sculpted statues for the foyer of Prague's new city hall. In 1903 he organised a Rodin exhibition, and in 1909 a Bourdelle exhibition.
