Brice Marden was a student from 1958 to 1961 at the Boston University School of Fine and Applied Arts, and then, from 1961 to 1963, at the School of Art and Architecture at Yale University, where he attended the courses given by Josef Albers together with Robert Mangold and Richard Serra.
