Born 11 December 1729, in Antwerp; died 3 October 1789.


Martenisie studied under Jacques-Philippe Le Bas in Paris. He became a teacher at the Koninklijke Academie voor Schone Kunsten in Antwerp in 1762 and engraver to the court of Duke Charles of Lorraine in 1764. He signed the work Pitre.
