Draughtsman, engraver.

He entered the École des Beaux-Arts on 1 March 1821. He was the student of Forster, Pauquet and Heim. He featured at the Salon from 1835 to 1876. He won the second Prix de Rome in 1826 and the first prize in 1830, and he won second-class medals
