Miniaturist.

The daughter of a penniless naval officer, Aimée-Zoë Rue trained at the studio of the French miniaturist Jean-Baptiste Augustin. Through well-connected friends, she obtained a commission to paint the portrait of the Bourbon king Louis XVIII, and enjoyed great success at the Salon with this, and portraits of eleven
