Born 1912, in Hiroshima Prefecture; died 1980 or 1981.

Sculptor, engraver.

Mizufune left the university of fine arts in Tokyo in 1936 with a diploma in sculpture. He practised wood engraving alongside sculpture, and was a member of the Japanese association of engraving as well as a co-founder of the association of education for engraving in 1937. His abstract engravings are highly coloured.
