Painter, draughtsman. Religious subjects, mythological subjects, landscapes with figures, landscapes.

Initially a pupil of Ciro Feri, Pietro Montanini painted historical subjects. Later, he devoted himself to landscape painting and became a follower of Salvator Rosa. His works are mainly to be found in his native town.
