Son of the history painter Andreas Müller, Franz Müller was taught by Benderman and Deger at the academy in Düsseldorf. He worked in Antwerp from 1871 to 1872 and exhibited in Düsseldorf and Bremen. He is primarily known for the numerous altar paintings he executed
