Born 13 January 1749, in Kreuznach; died 23 April 1825, in Rome.

Painter, engraver, draughtsman.

He underwent his artistic training in Mannheim. In 1778, he went to Rome, where he studied the works of Michelangelo. He produced etchings of religious subjects and was also a poet.
