Ferenc Olgyai was the pupil of Karl Lotz at the Akademie der Bildenden Künste in Vienna, then of Ludwig Herterich at the Akademie der Bildenden Künste in Munich. His work featured in several Paris exhibitions, and he won a medal winner at the 1900 Exposition Universelle.
