Born 1768 or 1769; died 8 December 1857, in Sunbury.

Painter, watercolourist, draughtsman. Seascapes.

Samuel Owen exhibited, mainly at the Royal Academy, from 1794 to 1807. He was a member of the short-lived Society of Associated Artists in Water-Colours. He ceased to paint several years before his death, and his paintings were seldom finished.
