Paul Paulin was a doctor and a friend of Rodin. Primarily a portraitist, he carved busts and medals and is best known for his busts of famous contemporaries. He exhibited at the Salon de Paris from 1882 to 1922, and was made a Chevalier of the Légion d'Honneur.
