Dominique Pollès studied painting at the Académie Charpentier before enrolling at the École des Beaux-arts in Paris. He took up sculpture in Enzo Plazzota's studio in London, and later settled in Pietrasanta in Italy. He sculpts voluptuous, Venus-like figures, which exhibit an intangible eroticism and ambiguity. He owns a foundry and works mostly in bronze.
