Albert Pommier studied under Frank-Bail and Barrias. From 1905, he exhibited with the Société des Artistes Français, of which he was a member; he gained distinctions from the Société Nationale des Beaux-Arts and the Salon des Tuileries and medals in 1907 and 1912.

He is remembered for numerous images of military men and medals
