Born 20 May 1827, in Belmont-les-Monthureux (Vosges); died 27 February 1903, in Malakoff (Hauts-de-Seine).

Sculptor, medallist.

Hubert Ponscarme was a pupil of Oudiné and A. Dumont. He won second prize in the Grand Prix for medal engraving in 1855 with Soldier Dying on the Altar of the Homeland. He was awarded bronze medals in 1859, 1861 and 1863 and gold medals
