Born 24 January 1761, in Hof (Bavaria); died 9 June 1847, in Rome.

Painter, draughtsman, engraver (etching). Portraits, landscapes with figures, landscapes, animals.

Having initially studied theology, Johann Christian Reinhart went on to devote himself to painting and became a pupil of Oeser.
