Painter, draughtsman. Religious subjects, portraits.

Ridolfi first studied under Dario Pozzo, then became a pupil of Caliari. Finding no work in Venice, he went to Rome and then Urbino, where he met Federico Baroccio, who was a positive influence in his development. He became Baroccio's pupil or, more probably, his assistant.
