Florentine School.

A pupil of Gregorio Pagani and Passignani, Matteo Roselli went to Rome where he studied the works of Raphael and Polidoro da Caravaggio. He returned to Florence where he was to remain throughout his career.

Roselli was frequently employed by Grand Duke Cosimo II
