Charles Rouvière studied under Pierre Miciol at the École des Beaux-Arts in Lyons. He associated with Garrand, Ravier, Vernay and Terraire. He exhibited at the Salon de la Société Lyonnaise des Beaux-Arts, where he was declared hors concours, having received medals in 1900-1903. He also showed in
