Born c. 1778, in Charlesbourg (Quebec); died c. 1848, in Trois-Rivières (Quebec).

Painter, copyist. Religious subjects, portraits.

Jean-Baptiste Roy-Audy was a pupil of the sculptor François Baillairgé. He trained as a carpenter and cabinet-maker, then started working as a sign painter before moving on to easel paintings. He also made copies of some old religious paintings.
