Born 6 January 1785, in Reinhardsgrimma, near Dresden; died 25 July 1843, in Dresden.

Draughtsman, engraver. Historical subjects, landscapes, animals.

Carl Friedrich Ludwig Felix von Rumohr began his studies in Reinhardsgrimma. In 1804 he visited Rome and Naples. After returning from Italy, he lived successively in Hamburg, Munich and Berlin. In 1827 he became a member of the academy in Berlin.
