Born 15 November 1825, in Speranda, near Sandomierz; died 30 November 1866, in Paris.

Painter.

Aleksander Rycerski studied at the art academy in Warsaw, and was forced to leave Poland for political reasons in 1863. He was influenced by Delaroche. The Mielzynski museum in Poznan owns one of his works, entitled Old Woman with a Book, and the National Museum in Warsaw
