Erzsebet Schaar trained under Sigmund Kisfaludi Strobl at the academy of fine art in Budapest where she lived and worked. Then she travelled to Paris, Munich and Vienna. She started out under the influence of a sensualism that was still Impressionist. Surrealist motifs were introduced into her figurative style. In the following
