Michael English studied at the Ealing Art School and became well known in the 1960s for his psychedelic posters. From 1966 he worked in partnership with Nigel Waymouth, the owner of the boutique 'Granny Takes a Trip'. The duo were known as Hapshash and the Coloured Coat
