(b Westminster, London, 1770; d London, 3 Jan 1843). English bass, son of richard Bellamy. He was educated in the choir of Westminster Abbey under Benjamin Cooke, and sang in the Handel Commemoration of 1784. He studied with Tasca, and sang in London in cathedral choirs and at concerts until 1794, when he went to Ireland. He became stage manager at the Dublin Theatre Royal in 1797 and
