(b ? Naples, 1730; d after 1775). Italian composer. According to de Rosa he studied at the Pietà dei Turchini conservatory. In 1747 he was an organist at the Cappella del Tesoro in S Gennaro, Naples and in 1763 he became organist of the first choir there. He composed several operas for Naples and Rome in 1753–8; his first opera seria, Issipile (1754), was described by the architect Luigi
