(b Ath, 17 April 1712; d Tournai, 26 Nov 1771). Flemish harpsichord maker. 11 of his instruments survive signed and dated in Tournai between 1750 and 1770. These include three clavicytheria in which he improved the mechanism by making the various parts independent (see Clavicytherium). Delin also made several wing-shaped spinets with compasses of four octaves and a 3rd. His refined and elegant workmanship was always restrained
