(b Utica, NY, 25 Jan 1933). American organist and organ scholar. Owen studied organ at Westminster Choir College and received a MusB in 1955 before earning a MusM from Boston University in 1962. Her organ teachers included Edward Broadhead, Alexander McCurdy, and George Faxon. She later attended summer courses at the North German Organ Academy (1975, 1977) and the Academy of Italian Organ Music (1985), and she earned the American Guild
