(b ?Fabriano, c1740; d Naples, 1769). Italian soprano castrato. From 1756 to 1762 he sang mostly female roles in comic opera in Rome, appearing also in Perugia (1756) and Turin (1761). Librettos show that he was in the service of the Prince of Santa Croce. He then probably withdrew for study, reappearing in spring 1764 in opera seria, mostly as secondo uomo (Padua, Vienna and Venice) and
