A 22-year-old woman presented to her GP with a 3-day history of acute-onset rotational vertigo and blurred vision. Her symptoms had already improved, although she continued to feel a bit ‘woozy’ and unsteady. She was diagnosed with labyrinthitis. Six weeks later she was admitted to hospital after suddenly developing unsteadiness, nausea, blurred vision, and clumsiness of her right hand.
