A 44-year-old man was referred for evaluation following three episodes of small-volume haemoptysis (blood streaking of sputum only) in association with cough and purulent sputum production. His symptoms had resolved and he reported no further haemoptysis in the month prior to out-patient review. However, he did mention intermittent epistaxis for ‘many years’.
