A 61-year-old woman presented to the ED with a 1-day history of intermittent nausea, retching, and epigastric pain. Her past medical history included Nissen fundoplication for hiatus hernia 16 years previously. This was revised laparoscopically 1 year prior to this presentation when the hiatus hernia recurred. Her only regular medication was lansoprazole.
