A 35-year-old single mother from a remote part of South Africa was referred from the neurology unit for evaluation of abnormal liver enzymes. She had presented initially with transverse myelitis. She was on antihypertensive medication and had had a Caesarian section 6 years before. Apart from the weakness in her lower limbs and dysuria, she volunteered no other symptoms.
