• The primary objective in patients with lung cancer is to improve Quality of Life • The treatment of cachexia in patients with lung cancer is limited and has not proven to improve survival • In the case of dyspnea, cough or hemoptysis, endobronchial examination should be performed besides symptom management • Radiation therapy can be used as simple and good palliation in symptomatic patients • Pleural effusions often occur during the course of the disease and should be managed immediately.
