• Overactive bladder (OAB) syndrome is a symptom complex consisting of urinary urgency, with or without urgency urinary incontinence, usually accompanied by frequency and nocturia, in the absence of urinary tract infection or other obvious pathology. • Urinary incontinence (UI) is the complaint of involuntary loss of urine. • Urgency urinary incontinence (UUI) is the complaint of involuntary loss of urine associated with urgency. • Stress urinary incontinence (SUI) is the complaint of involuntary loss of urine on effort or physical exertion including sporting activities, or on sneezing or coughing.
