A 59-year-old man experienced a sudden-onset right-sided headache whilst walking in the street. He vomited and was unable to move his left side. He was brought by ambulance to the emergency department where his GCS was 8/15 (E1, V1, M6) and his pupils were equal and reactive. His blood pressure was 210/105mmHg. A CT scan was performed, and is shown in Fig. 21.1.
